HISTORY AND SUBSIDIARIES

1950 - 2000

The Cellino Group was founded in 1950, when Ettore Cellino founded the Cellino Company, specialized in automobile bodywork.

Between 1960 and 1970 the Company began its growth by moving to the Grugliasco plant; meanwhile, the core business under the leadership of Guido Cellino was focused on the production and supply of components for industrial vehicles. The company grew by internal lines.

In 1996 the third generation joined the company with Guido’s son Fabrizio.

2000 - 2010

In 2000 Cellino began its growth by external lines acquiring the company Nuova Meccanica, which became its Bruino production unit after the absorption.

In 2007, in order to optimize and streamline its logistics flows, a logistics hub for the completion and shipment of finished products was inaugurated, in partnership with the main supplier of surface treatments.

In 2008, BCE, an Indian JV for the supply of metal components to the Far East market was established.

2010 was the year that marked the Cellino Group’s greatest expansion: Intek in Settimo (later Intek CM) and Ocevisud in Nusco (later OCM) were acquired out of bankruptcy, and following the entry of the CLN Group as a minority shareholder, Cellino acquired SHL in Poland and Celmac in Poirino.

2010 - 2020

In 2014 Cellino established its subsidiary CMK in Russia to supply aluminum tanks to the local market.
Also in 2014, Officine Meccaniche Pejrani (later CMP) was acquired out of bankruptcy.

2016 was the year that marked Cellino’s entry into the corporate structure of Gervasi Industrial, a company specializing in the design and construction of tippers and trailers.

The next growth step led to the creation in 2017 of Steelcame, a JV with Arcelor Mittal Europe allowing Cellino to control French company Solustil, with 4 plants in the Lyon area (now 5 following the acquisition of a machining company out of bankruptcy), and Polish company Stalobrex; meanwhile, Indian BCE and OCM, whose industrial activities were concentrated in Poland, left the Group.
2017 was also marked by a further domestic growth: Cellino, after the merger of CMP, acquired a stake in ILAS, a company specializing in aluminum processing, specifically in tanks for Ferrari and Maserati.

In 2020 the consolidation phase of the Group began: Cellino acquired full control of Steelcame, the previous JV with Arcelor Mittal; 2021 saw the merger of Steelcame and IntekCM into Cellino.
